I read an interesting article this morning from the Globe & Mail in which is announces that readers are not giving up on newspapers. As a former director of Circulation Sales & Service for a local daily, I read this article and had a chuckle about some of the things that were mentioned. What Super Mario Bros and Wrestling did to influence some brainstorming

Lately I have been having some difficulty coming up with ideas for new websites or marketing ideas. I have had several frustrating brainstorming sessions in between freelance projects that have proved fruitless. SlimTimer is an amazing free time tracking website for freelancers

I’ve been struggling a bit lately with keeping by billable time straight as I work on multiple projects. In addition to that I have also been questioning whether or not I have been charging the proper rates on certain writing projects because I am using best guesses as to the overall length of time that I worked on the project over several days. Feeling a bit scattered and nervous about this side of my freelance work, I decided to search online to find a tracking tool to assist.

Do what you love or don’t do it!

I was recently chatting with a friend on ICQ who has built a network of websites for himself after losing his full time job due to downsizing. I checked his google analytic stats and he’s getting a decent amount of traffic to the sites from search engines and he’s putting in the time and effort to make sure the sites are updated and timely.
